As for La La, she’s not only proud to see her son dribbling towards his dreams. She’s also excited that he’s created a name for himself on social media.
“Since I do know it, I’m able to kind of talk him through it, make sure he understands,” the former MTV VJ told People last March. “He’s so calm and humble and just a really great kid.”
And true to her experience in Hollywood, La La gave him some helpful advice to have a long, successful career outside of basketball.
“Don’t listen to negative comments,” she continued. “Just do what makes you happy. Just quiet the outside noise. I always tell him, ‘Quiet the outside noise. It’s not important.’”
