Chrissy Teigen has experienced a holiday mishap.
The Cravings author shared how she ended up losing one of her teeth while attempting to help her and John Legend’s kids—Luna, 9, Miles, 7, Esti, 2, and Wren, 2—“grow” candy canes for the holiday season. (A process involving the kids plotting Oreo crumbs and Chrissy popping in the treats overnight).
In a video shared on Instagram Dec. 21, Chrissy documented the beginning of their journey as she helped her four kids pot mini candy canes. While attempting to swap them out for even bigger ones, the 40-year-old experienced a less-than-ideal outcome.
“I’m working on candy cane growing,” she told the camera. “And tried to open one of these bad boys—my tooth fell off.”
Flashing a smile for the camera and showcasing the missing tooth, Chrissy added, “It’s a veneer. I have the whole piece. This is what moms do for their kids so that you can think you grew a candy cane.”
